Our team will be ready and waiting at your hotel lobby and then drive you directly to the starting point or meeting point for the trek.
The trek will need one hour and a half until you reach the top of the volcano. Our professional local guide will accompany you during the hike and will be happy to help whenever you need it. The path is rocky but manageable, with occasional stops for rest and photos. You will see other hikers along the way, making this a shared journey of excitement and exploration.
The slope of the volcano is covered by black lava, which continues deep into the caldera — a fascinating sight that tells the story of past eruptions. From the top of the mountain, you will witness an amazing sunrise, see Batur Lake sparkling below, and enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Rinjani in the eastern part of the island. The atmosphere is peaceful, fresh, and spiritual.
While waiting for the sunrise, we will serve a volcano breakfast with our guide. Here, the local guide will cook a special breakfast — an egg cooked in a lava fissure — making this the most unique breakfast experience you’ll ever have. It’s simple, yet unforgettable.
Once you have your breakfast, your guide will offer you two options: continue to explore two more craters, which is more challenging and rewarding for those seeking adventure, or take a relaxing walk around the summit to see the nearby lava steam and enjoy the morning air.
When everything is done at the top, we will continue the journey back to the starting point, where the driver will be waiting for you and take you back to your hotel.
